The Los Angeles Lakers are in the middle of the regular season, currently ranked third in the Western Conference. Even with Anthony Davis sidelined, this team is still making a strong push for a potential NBA title for the second year in a row. Additionally, LeBron James is making a bid to win the MVP award, as he's currently averaging 25.6 points, 7.8 assists, and 7.9 rebounds per game.

King James is playing for a franchise that's familiar with winning championships, which is something James has been doing throughout his entire basketball career.

It seems as though the winning has continued for James' former high school, St. Vincent-St. Mary, as they recently took home their 17th regional championship. The Irish are on their way to state, where they'll be competing for the state championship soon.

LeBron James seemed ecstatic for his old high school, sharing a tweet and congratulating the team and head coach, Dru Joyce II. The Irish actually still have the same coach from when James himself was part of the squad, where he was teammates with Joyce's son Dru Joyce III.

St. Vincent-St. Mary is one of the best basketball schools in the country. They consistently play on the biggest stage and have the hardware to back up their prominent status. LeBron James helped put the school on the map though, as he was the most highly anticipated prospect during his time at St. Vincent-St. Mary.

Similar to his high school, LeBron has gone on to achieve multiple championships, breaking accolades along the way. With four championship rings, and currently ranked third all-time in most points scored (35,189), James and St. Vincent-St. Mary has continued their winning ways throughout the years.

It's nice to see a prominent athlete be proud, and celebrate achievements of people from his hometown. LeBron has always represented Ohio, creating opportunities for families with the school he built in Akron. It's to be determined whether LeBron's former high school wins the state championship, but it's a good bet James will let the world know if it happens.
