Charles Barkley is not only an all-time great, as recently, he has also established himself as a respectable announcer and basketball analyst. According to Barkley, having had the privilege to call the games of the likes of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant has made him say with confidence that his is the best job in the world.

The NBA on TNT host explained why he adamantly believes this to be true:

“I've seen the greatest basketball players in the world as a job. That's why I call it the best job in the world,” Charles Barkley said, via NBA on TNT on Twitter. “I was there LeBron James scored 30 straight points. That was incredible. I've got to watch Kobe Bryant, one of the ten greatest basketball players.”

For those requiring context, Barkley was referencing LeBron's miraculous performance with the Cleveland Cavaliers back in the final game of the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals against the mighty Detroit Pistons. Technically speaking, James didn't score 30 straight. He scored 25 consecutive points, including 29 out of the team's last 30 points, en route to leading the Cavs to a series-clinching double-overtime victory against the Pistons. Quite a night that was indeed.

As for Bryant, Sir Charles did not have one specific Kobe performance in mind. There were more than a few of them throughout the Black Mamba's career and there's no denying that Barkley is himself a big Kobe fan.

It is clear when you watch Barkley on the broadcast that he enjoys his job. This recent revelation explains why.
