There were definitely a ton of storylines heading into the marquee match-up between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, wherein the Nets came out as 11-point victors. Aside from the obvious potential NBA Finals preview this game brought, it also marked another clash between former teammates Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, the two stars that led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their historic NBA title in 2016.

Given their history with each other, you'd probably guess that they'll show some love before the blockbuster showdown, now that they are no longer on the same side.

However, Irving and James didn't even acknowledge or even dap each other up prior to tip-off, which made ESPN Los Angeles speculate whether there is still something brewing between the two ex-teammates.

Of course, we, as fans, like to blow things out of proportion. Irving even took a subtle in-game shot at James when the Lakers superstar missed a technical foul shot.

Nonetheless, to answer ESPN L.A.'s question, this is 100 percent nothing. Ever since their split in 2017, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have maintained a healthy relationship and have always expressed their respect toward one another. Furthermore, the two have always shared their fond memories of winning the 2016 NBA championship together by doing so in historic fashion

So, yes. There's absolutely nothing to draw from the pre-game snubbing between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. The two probably caught up with each other before or after the game when the cameras weren't rolling. If they didn't, so what?
