LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a very impressive Game 1 blowout victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday. In his post-game interview, however, the three-time NBA champ fielded questions that fell outside the realm of basketball.

James was asked to give his thoughts on the low issue-based PAC contributions provided by owners around the league, and LeBron was quick to deflect the subject:

“I’m not going to give my energy to that, because it’s not surprising,” James said Tuesday, via Nancy Armour and Tom Schad of USA TODAY. “My mom has always told me control what you can control. And I can’t control that. What I can control is what I’m doing on my side.”

There is some clear frustration from LeBron's end in terms of how owners have not exactly dug deep into their pockets to support the industry-based PACs. To be precise, this figure has come out to just $718,965.

As James said above, this is way beyond his reach, so it's not something he'd like to waste his time on. He couldn't help but take a shot at the owners, though, expressing how this no longer comes as a surprise for him.

What was not surprising is how LeBron dominated the Heat on Thursday. He logged 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting, to go along with 13 boards, nine assists, and a steal in 36 minutes of played. James is now just three wins away from championship number four, and you can be sure that he has his eyes fixed on the prize right now. That doesn't stop him from speaking his mind, though.
