LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are underway with practices as they prepare for the 2018-19 NBA season. For the first time in a long time, the Lakers are viewed as a serious threat in the Western Conference. Magic Johnson's plan has come to fruition and “The King” is ready to bring relevance back to one of the most storied franchises in the league.

Despite all of the high expectations, the media in L.A. has been honing in on some small things about James. One of those things is the fact that he has been wearing No. 6 during practices. That has confused some fans, as James will be sticking with his No. 23 jersey for the Lakers.

Finally, when asked about why he is wearing No. 6, James put the questions to bed with a simple answer, per Ryan Ward of Clutch Points.

Looking back on previous seasons, James has been wearing the No. 6 jersey in practice for quite some time. He wore it with the Cleveland Cavaliers and he obviously wore the jersey with the Miami Heat. His tenure with the Heat is why fans and media alike were curious about the number.

Los Angeles has been following James around every second that they can early on this year. James joins a long list of superstars who have played in front of the L.A. media.

Outside of the number question, the Lakers are hoping to answer other questions. Most importantly, they want to answer the question of whether they can compete with the Golden State Warriors or not in a positive manner. Los Angeles will also have their hands full with the Houston Rockets.

As previously reported by Clutch Points, James will not receive a heavy workload during the Lakers' preseason action. He will rest up for the regular season. After all, we know that James does need to play in preseason games to be ready for the season.

Expect to see James and the Lakers come out strong to start the season. He is starting a new chapter and it will be exciting to see what he has in store for the fans in Los Angeles.
