Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was heavily criticized last week by a Cincinnati bar owner for his comments on Twitter about the shooting of Ma'Khia Bryant.

Jay Linneman, the owner of Linnie's Pub, said he will not air any NBA games at his bar until James is expelled from the NBA for good. Crazy, right? Obviously, he received an outpour of backlash for the comments, both good and bad. But Linneman didn't know it would skyrocket the sales at Linnie's.

LeBron James went viral after posting a picture on Twitter of one of the officers that shot Bryant, captioning the photo “You're next” in context to the guilty verdict of Derek Chauvin, who fatally killed George Floyd last year.

James quickly deleted the photo, but it was still a topic of conversation all across social media. After Linneman's remarks about the picture, the Lakers veteran then hilariously took to Twitter and posted this:

Cheeky from Bron, but you can't blame him. As for Linneman, he insists his decision to not air NBA games wasn't for the clout, but because of his support for law enforcement.

“I hope people channel the support to law enforcement and not necessarily to Linnie's Pub,” he said, via USA Today.

Whatever his reasoning, he got the attention of LeBron James and attracted more customers because of it. It's a win-win for Linneman but, refusing to show NBA contests will eventually lose him some customers.
