The 2021 Olympics are right around the corner, and USA Basketball is getting their Olympic team ready for action. Players such as LeBron James and Stephen Curry lead the list of 57 Team USA finalists for the Olympics, which is no surprise, but it will be interesting to see who earns a spot on the roster to represent USA and help bring home a gold medal.

Here are the 57 finalists that are being considered for the 2021 USA National Team roster, via David Alridge:

Players like LeBron James and Stephen Curry know what it takes to play on the global stage.  The Olympics are watched by billions of viewers and it is no easy feat to compete knowing the world is watching. Some of the names on this list from above will not surprise anyone, as players such as Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kawahi Leonard are obviously being considered.

However, there are many new names on that list, and it would be an opportunity of a lifetime for many of those players. The youth of the NBA is making a case for themselves, as they have just as high of a chance to make the final roster as any of the obvious candidates. They have the talent and drive to play at the highest level, making it all that much harder to pick a final roster from the finalist list.

Team USA has 15 gold medals and they only plan on adding to the total. Starting July 23, the Olympics will captivate the attention of billions of viewers once again, and Team USA better be ready to play their best.
