Lionel Messi recently joined Paris Saint-Germain after an emotional exit from Barcelona. Sunday, Messi finally made his PSG debut in their matchup against Reims.

The superstar came on the field to replace fellow star Neymar in the 65th minute. Messi got a rousing welcome from the PSG faithful:

Lionel Messi didn't score in his debut, but PSG came away with a 2-0 victory. Messi had spent his entire club career with Barcelona before leaving earlier this month. The club's financial issues forced his exit after it seemed like the two sides had an agreement for him to stick around.

With Messi on his way out, PSG swooped in to add another big-name star. Neymar and Kylian Mbappe also headline PSG's star-studded club, though Mbappe might be on his way out himself. There have been plenty of rumors about his exit coming in the near future.

While those rumors have been swirling, Mbappe was all smiles with two goals on Sunday. Messi came on shortly after Mbappe put his second goal in the back of the net.

34-year-old Lionel Messi will surely see more time on the pitch as he gets acclimated to his new club. For now, he'll bask in his first victory as a member of PSG.
