The Detroit Lions were able to come away with the upset of the year as they shockingly beat the 10-3 Arizona Cardinals, 30-12.

Jared Goff had his best game as a member of the Lions and head coach Dan Campbell was proud of his quarterback. After the game, Coach Campbell had this to say,

“Listen, man, he made some outstanding throws today. That first one to Saint Brown was unbelievable. Goff had to step up, release it quickly, that's a heck of a play…He got us to the right play… He bounced back, I thought he played outstanding”

What Goff was able to do against a tough Arizona defense is certainly something that should be recognized. Nobody in the world expected this Lions team to beat the Cardinals because Arizona has been playing like one of the best teams in football all season long.

This shows that the Lions aren't as bad as their 2-11-1 record. They could potentially have a bright future if they can somehow build around the pieces that they do have. It's obviously going to be a very long time until they are a team that contends for a Super Bowl. Some of the pieces are there and if they can make the right decisions in the future, maybe their long playoff drought can finally be snapped.

This was an impressive win for the Lions. Everybody in that organization should feel proud about what they did on Sunday.
