Philadelphia Eagles star cornerback Darius Slay may no longer be on the Detroit Lions, but that doesn't mean he doesn't think highly of his former teammates. When asked on Twitter what his thoughts on Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford are, Slay quoted the tweet stating that the former No. 1 overall pick is “easily top 10” in terms of quarterbacks in the league.

Depending on who you ask, Stafford has been known to be underrated by many. Despite only making one Pro Bowl appearance in his 11-year NFL career, Stafford has topped 4,000 yards seven times and has tossed 256 touchdowns in 149 career games.

Last season, a back injury forced the Lions franchise QB to miss all but eight games. In those eight games, Stafford led the Lions to a 3-4-1 record while completing 64.3 percent of his passes for 2,499 yards, 19 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

As for Slay, the 29-year-old defensive back is coming off his third-straight Pro Bowl appearance in 2019. In 14 games, the former second-round pick recorded 46 tackles, 13 passes defended, and two interceptions while maintaining his reputation as one of the best cornerbacks in the entire NFL.

However, rather than signing the Mississippi State product to a long-term extension this offseason, Detroit shipped their star CB to the Eagles in exchange for a  2020 third and fifth-round draft pick.

After being traded to Philadelphia, Slay signed a three-year extension with the team worth $50 million. Considering the Lions were one of the worst teams in the league last year in terms of defending the pass, it is yet to be seen how the team will move on from their star corner.
