Earlier this week, the Buffalo Bills made the decision to part ways with second-year quarterback Nathan Peterman that has put him on the open market to find his next venture in the NFL.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, Peterman may have found that with the Detroit Lions have he has gone through a workout with the franchise.

This is the first workout that he has held with any team since clearing waivers a couple of days ago. This may be a move to add more depth to the position behind Matthew Stafford at the quarterback position. Stafford has shown to be quite durable over the last couple of years, but this may simply be a move to help have more insurance moving forward into the second half of the campaign.

It has been nothing short of a rough start to Peterman’s NFL career over the last 1 1/2 seasons in the league as he has struggled to perform at a capable level on the field. He has become a magnet for turnovers in his brief time on the field as he has 12 career interceptions in eight regular season games played along with fumbling twice.

Peterman has struggled mightily to prove that he can be a capable quarterback in the NFL as his decision making and struggles to play with an efficiency likely led to the Bills to part ways with him so soon into his tenure with the team.

There should be more on this front in the coming days as the team could agree to a deal in the near future or it could lead to him having workouts with other teams in the league. Nonetheless, there still remains some interest in Peterman from other teams around in the NFL, which could see him get another opportunity elsewhere to prove himself.
