Free agent wide receiver Dontrelle Inman is visiting with the Detroit Lions on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Inman spent the 2018 campaign with the Indianapolis Colts, and Colts general manager Chris Ballard recently said on 1070 WFAN that the team is working on bringing him back.

Also, Inman told CBS Sports Radio that he hopes to stay in Indianapolis.

“I definitely want to stay in Indianapolis,” Inman said. “I’ve built the morale with Andrew (Luck), Coach (Frank) Reich. I don’t want to go anywhere else. I’m a little older in my career. It feels good to just be home, and it would feel amazing to finish in Indy.”

But, the 30-year-old can't sit and wait around forever, so he is obviously going to take advantage of any opportunities that come his way.

Inman is coming off of a season in which he played 12 games and hauled in 28 receptions for 304 yards and three touchdowns. He actually began the year unsigned, but ended up joining the Colts in mid-October.

The Batesburg, S.C. native, who played his collegiate football at the University of Virginia, went undrafted but landed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011.

However, Inman did not play in an actual game until 2014, when he was a member of the San Diego Chargers.

He played the first three-plus seasons of his career with the Chargers, with his best year coming in 2016 when he caught 58 passes for 810 yards and four scores. The Bolts then traded Inman to the Chicago Bears midway through the 2017 campaign.

The Lions need some offensive help and Inman would be a good pickup.
