When the Green Bay Packers square-off against the Detroit Lions in Week 2, they will be welcoming in a division rival to Lambeau Field and a familiar face in running back Jamaal Williams.

Via The Athletic, the newest Lions running back discussed what it will be like playing in Lambeau Field for the first time while not wearing the green and gold.

“I’ll be there a little early, so the times I be dancing out there, they don’t even be having the fans out there yet,” Williams said. “So I’ll probably get to them during warmups and stuff. But it’s gonna be great, man. I can’t wait for it. It’s gonna be a great game.”

Williams spent his first four seasons in the league with the Packers before signing with the Lions in free agency this past offseason. He was a huge fan favorite and locker room favorite in Green Bay. Williams kept things loose around the team and was always dancing and smiling around the field whether it was during the pre-game festivities or even during the games themselves.

The Week 2 matchup will prove to be a critical one for both sides. The Packers are looking to bounce back after a miserable Week 1 showing against the New Orleans Saints. The Lions made a miraculous comeback against the San Francisco 49ers but still fell short in their contest, 41-33.

Williams will hope to invade Lambeau Field with the Lions and come out with a win. His reception from the Packers faithful should be a good one.
