Kenny Golladay has been a reliable weapon for the Detroit Lions again this season and he's dealing with another injury.

While the Lions find themselves down to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Golladay will not return due to a hip injury, per NFL.com.

Golladay suffered the hip injury in the second half of the game and would exit to the sideline. Even though the severity of the injury remains to be seen, the big-play wide receiver won't be able to return to the game.

Earlier this season, Golladay was inactive for the Lions until Week 3 due to a leg injury. During his absence, Detroit's passing attack lacked production, and Matthew Stafford was unable to get much going through the air.

But when he returned to the lineup, the Lions saw more life in the passing attack. In his first four games of the season, Golladay was able to contribute 20 receptions for 338 yards and two touchdowns for Detroit's offense.

Before exiting with an injury on Sunday, Golladay had zero receptions for zero yards on four targets. Amid shutting down Golladay, the Colts are on their way to beating the Lions handily on Sunday.

Without Golladay, Detroit leaned on Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, and Marvin Hall in the passing game. It goes without saying that the offense sans Golladay is not nearly as lethal as it is with him on the outside.

Seeing that the game was out of hand, the Lions likely took Golladay out as a precaution. Still, it will be worth monitoring his hip ailment as Detroit prepares to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9.
