Danny Amendola signed a one year contract this offseason with the Detroit Lions and third-year player Kenny Golladay thinks that the veteran will really help take his game to the next level. Amendola is still a good player in the slot and knows how Matt Patricia does things after spending time with him with the New England Patriots.

The most important thing that the Lions need him to do is to rub off on players like Golladay and help them take the next step forward in the league.

“We’re still just figuring each other out, but I know one thing, his work ethic is crazy,” third-year receiver Kenny Golladay said, via Justin Rogers of the Detroit News. “It’s through the roof. He wants to push everyone. And when you have a guy like that, a vet guy, a savvy vet, you just really want to follow up under him. I’m not going to let him go out there and out-run me.”

Golladay has been good so far in his career but there is no question another level that he can take his game too. In 2018 he hauled in 70 catches for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns but he knows he can't be complacent with that and needs to take another step forward and the hope is that Amendola will help bring that out of him.

“The challenge is just picking up where I left off,” Golladay said. “Don’t become complacent, you know. Just need to keep my same focus and that’s what I’m going to do.”
