While Sunday's game didn't go the way Detroit Lions fans would have hoped, they can't blame Marvin Jones Jr. The wide receiver finished with 10 receptions for 93 yards and four scores.

You didn't look at that wrong.

Jones hauled in four touchdown receptions, making him the first Detroit player to put up those numbers in the Super Bowl era:

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a game himself, throwing for almost 400 yards and having all four of his touchdowns being caught by Jones.

Injuries really hurt the Lions as their banged-up defensive line was taken advantage of by Dalvin Cook, who went off for 142 yards and two touchdowns of his own. It didn't help that their star cornerback, Darius Slay, left with a hamstring injury and was joined on the sidelines by starting running back Kerryon Johnson, who was knocked out of the contest in the second quarter with a knee injury.

Jones will look to repeat his performance next week when he takes on a New York Giants team that has struggled in the secondary. His breakout performance on Sunday will hopefully give the team a much-needed spark as they look to end their three-game losing streak.

One can look into last week's questionable calls and ask how much that affected not only that respective game but the mindset of the Lions as a whole.
