The Detroit Lions are already dealing with a ton of injuries and now there is a chance they could be without Matthew Stafford for Sunday's showdown with the Minnesota Vikings although he still says he plans on playing. Stafford is dealing with a back injury that has kept him out of practice this week and the Lions are officially listing him as questionable.

“I played with it last week, so I plan on playing with it again,” Stafford said, via Kyle Meinke of the Detroit News.

Lions coach Matt Patricia said he's not sure how much pain Stafford is in, but it's clear that he is dealing with an injury but like a lot of the rest of the team he is just trying to fight through it.

“I don’t know what his pain level is, but I would say he’s battling every single day,” coach Matt Patricia said. “He’s a tough guy. He’s fighting through an injury, just like a lot of the guys are. A lot of guys are beat up at this time of the year. It’s just kind of what it is, and it’s just day-to-day from that standpoint.”

Even if Stafford is able to go, the Lions are going to be very short-handed for the game. The team has already ruled out Bruce Ellington, defensive end Da'Shawn Hand, running back Kerryon Johnson.  tackle Rick Wagner, and defensive back Charles Washington.

Trevor Bates, Nick Bellore, Marcus Cooper, Taylor Decker, and Devon Kennard are also all listed as questionable.
