The Detroit Lions knew full well they would have their work cut out playing host to the New Orleans Saints in Week 4. Fortunately, quarterback Matthew Stafford has wasted no time in setting the tone for the offense.

Stafford kicked things off by capping an eight-play, 77-yard drive with a touchdown pass to running back D'Andre Swift, via NFL Twitter:

The Lions' offense quickly found themselves in scoring position once again thanks to an interception by cornerback Darryl Roberts and Stafford found wide receiver Kenny Golladay in the end zone three plays later.

It is safe to say that this is quite the hot start for a Lions team that has struggled out of the gate at 1-2. Stafford is clearly adamant about capitalizing on any opportunities that come his way.

Despite the fast start, the Saints have already answered back with a score of their own to cut the lead in half.

The onus will fall on Stafford to ensure that this Lions' offense does not let up if they hope to secure an upset.
