The 2019-20 NBA season is scheduled to resume on July 30 at Walt Disney World in sunny Orlando, Florida.

22 teams will be partaking in the resumption of the season, with each club playing eight seeding games before the 2020 playoffs start.

The Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards will battle it out for the final two playoff spots in the East. Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, and Phoenix Suns will jostle for the eighth seed out West.

Just because the 2019-20 NBA season is on track to resume, doesn’t mean every player will be heading to the campus in Orlando, Florida.

With that said, here is a complete list of the NBA players who have opted not to partake in the resumption of the season, and the number could grow before July 30.

1. Trevor Ariza

Trevor Ariza is currently involved in a custody case over his son, so he won’t be joining the Blazers at Walt Disney World.

Portland acquired Ariza from the Sacramento Kings. The veteran swingman averaged 11.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game with the Blazers prior to the suspension of play in March.

2. Avery Bradley

Avery Bradley’s son, Liam, has a history of struggling to recover from respiratory illnesses. With that said, it was highly unlikely that the Los Angeles Lakers guard was going to be able to bring his son to Disney World.

Bradley, one of the best defenders in the NBA, said his family was more important than basketball at this time.

“As committed to my Lakers teammates and the organization as I am, I ultimately play basketball for my family,” Bradley told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

“And so, at a time like this, I can’t imagine making any decision that might put my family’s health and well-being at even the slightest risk.”

3. Davis Bertans

Davis Bertans becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer and he’s expected to get a huge payday from either the Wizards or some other team since he’s one of the best stretch-four shooters in the NBA.

Players are concerned about getting hurt and/or contracting COVID-19 at the “bubble” games in Orlando, Florida. Guys are prone to get injured in Orlando because they haven’t played games since March.

As a result, you can understand why someone like Bertans is hesitant to play given his two previous ACL tears.

4. Willie Cauley-Stein

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Willie Cauley-Stein from the Golden State Warriors after losing Dwight Powell to an Achilles tear.

However, Cauley-Stein won’t be in Orlando, as he and his partner are expecting a baby in July.

5. Wilson Chandler

Wilson Chandler told ESPN on June 28 that “the health and well-being of my family has to come first.”

The Nets forward served a 25-game drug suspension to begin the 2019-20 season. Chandler becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

6. John Wall

John Wall was scheduled to miss the entire 2019-20 season for the Wizards recovering from his Achilles tear, so it wasn’t a surprise when Washington general manager Tommy Sheppard said the All-NBA point guard won’t be joining the team in Orlando.

After all, it makes no sense for Wall to risk his health when he’s not even going to be playing.

7. Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving is recovering from shoulder surgery, so he won’t be in Orlando.

However, even if he was healthy, it’s not a guarantee the Nets superstar point guard would have played in the “bubble” games.

Uncle Drew was one of the main players who voiced concerns about restarting the NBA season amid the COVID-19 pandemic and racial injustices in America.

Irving is of the belief that the return of the NBA will only take the attention off of the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

8. Kevin Durant

Like Wall, Kevin Durant was never going to play in 2019-20 because of his Achilles injury.

However, the two-time Finals MVP did make headlines last week when he said he wouldn’t have played in Orlando even if he was healthy.

To recall, Durant contracted COVID-19 earlier in the year.
