Liverpool continue to struggle in the middle of the 2020-21 Premier League season as they absorbed a 1-0 loss against Fulham F.C. on Sunday morning. It has been that type of campaign for Liverpool this year as the team has now lost six consecutive home league matches for the first time in club history, per ESPN Stats and Info.

The Jurgen Klopp-led squad managed to gain control of the ball for the majority of the game, accounting for 64% of the total possessions as opposed to Fulham's 36%. They were also significantly better in the passing department as they completed 701 passes compared to their counterparts' 408 completions.

Despite struggling to maintain possession of the ball, Fulham managed to sneak a goal by way of a strike from central midfielder Mario Lemina at the 45th mark of the match. Fulham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola also made crucial saves to help deny any form of a comeback by Liverpool.

After sustaining the tough loss in Anfield, Mohamed Salah and his squad now own a 12-9-7 record with 43 points, good only for the seventh spot in the Premier League table. Meanwhile, Fulham improves to a 5-12-11 tally for 26 points to remain in 18th place.

The absence of their key pieces in centre-backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez along with midfielder Firmino are certainly not making things easy for Liverpool.
