Liverpool striker Mo Salah has solidified himself as one of the most clinical finishers in world football, but the Reds still haven't extended his current deal, which expires next summer. The Egyptian recently voiced how much he'd love to stay at Anfield, but the two sides must come to an agreement.

Jurgen Klopp meanwhile, spoke on the situation and sent a clear message to Liverpool supporters about Salah's future with the Premier League giants. Via Sky Sports:

“We're talking and extending a contract with a player like Mo is not something where you meet for a cup of tea in the afternoon and find an agreement. That's completely normal.

“There's really nothing else to say about Mo. He speaks about it and I can only say a few things because all the rest is not for the public, obviously,” the Liverpool manager said.

“But I'm not sure if he gave the interview in English or it was translated and arrived in English and that is an issue we saw in the last few days again.

“So really a lot of things can happen when someone tries to do that and Mo is fine, I am fine. I think what we all want is clear and things like this need time, that is it.”

Time is the keyword here, but there is absolutely no doubt that Liverpool is willing to give Salah a massive extension considering just how important he's been to their success. The frontman is currently leading the English top-flight with 13 goals in 15 appearances while also tallying nine assists. In the Champions League, Salah is already up to six goals in five games.

Right now, you'll have a hard time finding a player who is in such tremendous form. Although Barcelona and Real Madrid are showing concrete interest in the Liverpool forward, it seems very likely he stays put. It simply comes down to the Reds fronting up with a bag of money.
