Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp drops a truth bomb on Steven Gerrard's future as a manager, specifically for Liverpool.

After Gerrard's move to coach Aston Villa, many have wondered if he will soon replace Klopp as Liverpool's boss. Despite these rumors, Klopp has been doing a tremendous job for the club this season, vying for another Premier League title.

The German also recognizes the capability of Gerrard as a manager, not ruling out the possibility of a future return at Anfield.

“Oh yeah. I think absolutely,” said Klopp when asked if Gerrard would one day take over, although not necessarily directly from him.

“I think it will definitely happen – and good for everybody. I don’t know what you have to do before you become Liverpool manager. I know people say you have to win things but I’m not sure about that.”

Although Gerrard achieved success with Rangers F.C., he is pretty young to coach a massive club such as Liverpool. Klopp reiterates Frank Lampard's example, who coached his former club early into his managerial career, yet, was sacked eventually after a considerable struggle.

“He (Gerrard) is doing really well but is very young from a manager’s point of view. When is the right moment to take the manager’s job? We saw it with Frank (Lampard) at Chelsea.”

Liverpool is currently second in the Premier League table—only a point behind league leader Man City. With the quality that Klopp possesses today, inevitably, Anfield won't be welcoming a new manager soon. However, if Gerrard continues to showcase his world-class managerial skills, Liverpool might consider him as a coaching pillar one day.
