With Mo Salah yet to sign an extension with Liverpool, the Reds are making sure to bring in an attacking reinforcement. Porto winger and Copa America star Luis Diaz is on the brink of inking a five-year deal with the Merseysiders and according to Fabrizio Romano, it's only a matter of time until he puts pen to paper:

Diaz is currently in South America with the Colombian National Team partaking in World Cup Qualifiers, but Liverpool is reportedly trying to set up a medical for him there. Tottenham was also chasing the promising youngster and made a hefty bid earlier this week, but the Reds beat them to the punch. They're prepared to pay the Portuguese giants a total of €65 million.

While this is undoubtedly a solid signing, it's hard to believe Diaz will see a lot of minutes at Anfield. Their front three typically consists of Salah, Sadio Mane, and Diogo Jota.

He really broke out last summer at Copa America, netting four times in five games including arguably the best goal of the tournament against Argentina. Diaz has carried that form into this season, scoring 14 goals in just 18 appearances for Porto while tallying four assists as well.

It will be interesting to see what type of role he can play at Liverpool. But, it will definitely take time for him to adapt to the quality of the Premier League.
