Former UCLA and now Lakers guard Lonzo Ball is the main topic of conversation during summer league. Ball has really divided the opinion around the league. Some people dislike him because of his dad, LaVar Ball, but some look past his parent and enjoy watching this talented kid on the court.

One specific thing about Ball is that he is not signed with a major shoe company. Even though there were offers on the table, the Ball family decided to create their own shoe and apparel brand. The “Big Baller Brand” debuted its first shoe, the ZO2, earlier this year.

However, the ZO2's could not be seen on Lonzo's feet in the summer league game Lakers played against the Philadelphia 76ers. Ball decided to wear Kobe AD's and it shocked everyone watching. However, Ball explained to Serena Winters from Spectrum SportsNet why he decided to wear Nike's.

The answer is interesting. As it is known, when a player has a deal with a shoe company, he can only wear those to all official games. However, Big Baller Brand seems to be different.

Lonzo Ball had an amazing game in the Nike kicks, dropping 36 points on the Sixers and adding 11 assists and eight rebounds. While his three-point percentage was not amazing, shooting just 3-out-of-10 from beyond the arc, Ball showed up when he was needed most. He scored an important and-one layup in the final minute of the fourth quarter, putting the Lakers up by one.

In the end, the Lakers won by one, after center Ivica Zubac drained two key free throws with 4.6 second remaining.
