Leading up to the 2017 NBA Draft, former UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball has been one of the most talked about players in this year's class.

Much of this has made due to his father, LaVar Ball‘s, presence over him over the last several months along with constant antics in the media. With that in mind, Lonzo had a casual but a direct response to all this attention and scrutiny thrown his way.

Ball has proven in his lone season at UCLA to be one of the premier talents in this year's draft showcasing his unique passing ability while leading his team to one of the best records in the country behind a nation-best 7.6 assists per game and breaking the school single-season mark with 274 assists.

It has been a long pre-draft process for Ball that seen his stock rise and fall over the last few weeks. However, it now appears that he will indeed head to the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in Thursday's draft after the team dealt away point guard D'Angelo Russell on Tuesday afternoon to the Brooklyn Nets.

All in all, the 19-year-old sounds like he's ready to take on all scrutiny that will come both on and off the court in the NBA, especially if he's taken by his hometown team.
