Now with the Chicago Bulls after an insane NBA free agency deal, Lonzo Ball is one of the more polarizing names in the NBA and that's mainly because of the family he comes from. The Ball's have been in the public spotlight for many years thanks to Lavar Ball, who is outspoken as ever. The family has also had their own show for years called “Ball in the Family”, which debuted on Facebook Watch in 2017. But, Lonzo has made a name for himself in the league thanks to his impressive playmaking and ability to score the rock. Off the court, Lonzo has been in a relationship for quite some time now. Garcia is also a star athlete and played three years of varsity soccer split between Seattle University and the University of California, Riverside. She currently holds the school record for assists after notching 14 in 36 appearances for UC Riverside.
Garcia was born and raised in West Covina, which is a suburb of Los Angeles. She was an absolute soccer star growing up and was a standout at Chino Hills High, where she met Lonzo. She was a junior at the time, while Ball was a freshman.
Garcia felt a special connection to Lonzo the first time she met him.
“From the very first moment I saw him I knew he was special. Without knowing his name or watching him play, all I cared about was that fact that he caught my eye and had my attention.”
After several years of on and off dating, when Garcia was a senior in college and Ball was in his rookie year in the NBA, she was pregnant. It was apparently not planned and the rumors began to swirl that she got pregnant on purpose. However, that was not the case. In July of 2018, she happily gave birth to their first child, Zoey Christina Ball.
Their relationship has hit lots of barriers though, with it being a central focus in the show “Ball in the Family”. Back in October, the two actually talked about the struggles they've gone through.
“I think time, for one, and just being more mature about the stuff that went on between us. I think over time, you learn to forgive people and see the other side of things and I think that’s what we’ve both done. We’re going to try to make it work again.”
As of right now, Garcia is essentially an Instagram model. She has almost 500,000 followers on the app and regularly posts beauty, fitness, and content about her young daughter. It makes sense why staying fit and active is a big part of her life. After all, being a college athlete gets you in that routine, especially when you're playing a sport like soccer.

Garcia and Ball have put aside their differences and as of October, they are dating again. When you share a child, it's imperative that your relationship is on respectable terms for the sake of the kid. It also appears that Lonzo has Zoey on the right track in terms of being a hooper. Back in June, he posted an adorable video of his daughter draining some buckets:

Following in the footsteps of her father? It's quite possible. Coming from two athletic parents, you better believe Zoey will be playing lots of sports once she's old enough. Garcia meanwhile discussed on “Ball in the Family” about learning from her previous mistakes:
“I think we’ve both grown and I think we’ve learned from our mistakes and no matter has happened between us, like no matter how ugly it gets, like we always find a way back together.”
These two have been through a lot together over many, many years and despite the rocky points in their relationship, they have a beautiful girl and lots of success to be proud of. Now that wild rumors and speculation about him playing elsewhere than New Orleans, which turned out to be true, are over, they can finally move on.
