Saquon Barkley is emerging as a Heisman Trophy favorite right in front of our very eyeballs. The electric Penn State talent, who is quickly becoming must-see television, is already making splashes on Saturday.

How so? How about returning Penn State's opening kickoff return for a touchdown? Does that work for you, friend?

Saquon Barkley is the hero we never knew we needed.

You might be slightly confused about some of the other things happening in that video. Mainly, the endzones having some weird, non-Penn State seeming designs, as well as the PSU uniforms to boot. Good catch my friend, but you need not worry.

Penn State is wearing what it calls Generations of Greatness uniforms in this outing. You can save whatever jokes you want for somewhere else, because if you’re able to put some emotional responses to the wayside, you will realize those are fire. The field design is there to match.

For some of the details of the outfit (outfit LOL) you might be unaware of:

  • The uniform features numbers on the helmets, which was part of PSU uniforms from 1959-61 and 1967-74.
  • There will be a stripe on the pants for the first time since 1968 and blue, striped socks similar to those worn in the ’70-72 seasons.
  • The Nittany Lions will also wear white shoes similar to those worn in the 1979 Sugar Bowl.

It is obviously still pretty early on Saturday. Our electric Penn State talent might do other things before the day is over. Grab a few touchdown passes or solve the world's hunger issues.
