LeBron James has often teased that if he were to have played college basketball, he would have done it for the Ohio State Buckeyes. That has, naturally, resulted in many people playing the what-if game for well over a decade at this point.

Still, at least to the naked-eye, it seems as though LeBron James does think highly of all things Ohio State related. He goes to games, wears some of the school's gear once in awhile, and he is now taking it another step in a loving way.

Ohio State will wear the LeBron Soldier XI cleat against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.

Here is a picture of the cleat:

The cleat features a block letter “O” on the tongue and the word Buckeyes written across a strap on the front of the boot.

Some players have already been rocking this cleat when possible. After all, LeBron James is the most famous athlete of our time. He's the modern day Michael Jordan in that way. Just as people who grew up on Jordan wanted to “Be Like Mike,” the youth of today want to be as closely associated with King James as humanly possible.

Las Vegas has yet to weigh in to say whether or not Ohio State gets an extra edge by wearing this shoes. It is also not yet known if it will make players run faster, jump higher, or hurl the pigskin with greater accuracy and force.

It does keep LeBron James in the news a bit, though. He's had a busy few hours, as he was recently spotted hanging with incoming Duke super-recruit Cameron Reddish.
