Penn State talent Saquon Barkley was having a rough go of it on Saturday. The key part of that last sentence was the emphasis we should acknowledge in its tense, as he “was” having a rough go of it. He no longer is.

Saquon Barkley had -1 rushing yards during the first quarter of the team's game against Northwestern on Saturday. For a dude who is a legit Heisman Trophy candidate, that doesn't seem ideal. The good news here, at least if you are a Penn State fan, is that the only thing preventing him from busting out of that funk was time — and time was on his side.

Not many running backs in the country can do what Barkley did on this 53-yard touchdown run. Not only did he burst through the line like he paid for it to be open, but he ran down the field like a gosh slam tiger catching his food in the wilderness.

At the time of this post, Saquon Barkley has 75 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns. There's still over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. That is, obviously, unless you are reading this at some point well after it is written. If that is the case, then the game is over.

Penn State, for what it is worth, is walloping Northwestern.

Anyway, someone needs to make sure there's a room opened up for the electric talent in the Heisman House. He is banging on the door and seems like he wants to get in.
