With the summer in full swing, some veteran NBA players are finding ways to stay in shape and also play competitive basketball. One of the leagues that has become a favorite of them to participate in is the Drew League, which invites top amateurs and even former professionals to take part in their tournament.

Newly-acquired L.A. Clippers guard Lou Williams made his Drew League debut recently and lit up the game by scoring 50 points, to the delight of the fans inside the arena. He showcased his full repertoire of moves and scored in a variety of ways throughout the match.

Now with the Clippers, the 30-year-old will have the opportunity to once again prove that he is still one of the better hybrid guards in the NBA today. He is a former Sixth Man of the Year winner, and is expected to be the first guard off the bench in Doc Rivers’ rotation.

Williams is coming off another solid season where he saw himself being part of a trade deadline deal that landed him with the Houston Rockets. Although his stint with them was short, he was still able to record impressive numbers of 14.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 25.7 minutes per game.
