It may still be at least a full year before young Slovenian prospect Luka Doncic plays in the NBA, but his performance during the recently concluded EuroBasket tournament has left scouts even more intrigued of what he can bring to an NBA team. The efficient perimeter shooting, handles, ability to attack the basket, and unbelievable poise for his age were all in full display throughout the competition.

Doncic once again showcased his incredible skill set during the gold medal match against Serbia, when he went coast-to-coast and finished with an emphatic dunk, to the delight of the crowd on hand, and even the commentators covering the game.

The 6-foot-7 hybrid guard started to turn heads when he agreed in 2015 to play for Real Madrid of the Spanish Liga ACB at only 16 years old. He showed a lot of maturity in his game, and his versatility is proving to be one of his best assets. Doncic can play multiple positions, and with the highlight reel worthy play he just completed, he also silenced his doubters by pushing the ball like how a true point guard does it.

By next year, he will reach the minimum age for players to join the draft. There is already a growing belief that he will declare early to be able to play at the highest level. With how he's playing now, there is very little doubt left if he is ready for the NBA, and he can further raise his stock if he will have another stellar season in Spain.
