After spearheading Real Madrid's 92-83 triumph on Friday against CSKA Moscow in the EuroLeague Final Four, top draft prospect Luka Doncic appeared to confirm what a lot of people already know — that he intends to take part in the 2018 NBA Draft this June.

“To say goodbye winning the tenth [EuroLeague for Real Madrid] would be very special,” the 6-foot-8 Slovenian told Liga ACB.

This is a welcome development after Doncic himself earlier stated that he was not yet ready to commit himself to the draft. Some saw this as an utmost showing of professionalism in him not wanting to cause any distractions to his team's objective of winning the EuroLeague Championship.

Still, others argued that this was no more than a publicity stunt from his camp, which they intend to use as a bargaining chip.

Having the first overall pick in the Draft, the Phoenix Suns will take a long, hard look at Doncic. It will be very difficult to pass on a such a talented prospect, but perhaps a 7-foot-1 Pac-12 Player of the Year awardee in DeAndre Ayton might just make it a tad bit easier to do so. That is if the Suns do not decide to trade their first overall pick in an attempt to bring a current NBA superstar to play alongside Devin Booker.

Doncic will have one final chance to impress the basketball world in the upcoming championship game for Madrid. He will be dawning the all-white against Fenerbahçe Doğuş 0n Sunday in what hopefully will be his swansong as a EuroLeague player.
