Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic could not help but take a quick stroll down memory lane once he saw the Mavs' new City jerseys. The All-Star guard found that Dallas' new unis look a lot like his old jersey from his days with Spanish outfit Real Madrid.

Doncic posted a side-by-side photo of himself on Instagram in the aforementioned Madrid jersey and the new City threads of the Mavs:

First off, we have to agree with Doncic here. The resemblance is indeed uncanny, and the white and gold color scheme makes the two jerseys eerily similar.

More importantly, though, that's an awesome shot of Doncic, who looks like he was just 13 or 14 in the photo. This photo was clearly taken prior to his professional debut for Real Madrid, which happened on April 30, 2015. He was 16 when he first took the floor for the senior squad, but he actually first signed with the team in 2012 as a 13-year-old.

Doncic has come a long way from his days in Spain, and he has now emerged as one of the best players in the NBA. Last season, the 6-foot-7 combo guard averaged 28.8 points (on 46.3 percent shooting), 9.4 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.0 steals, while also connecting on 2.8 triples per game. This resulted in his first call-up to the All-Star squad, which was without question the first of many.

Luka Doncic may be one of the top players in the game today, but at just 21 years young, it sometimes feels like he's still that sweet little boy in that photo.
