Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton was caught celebrating early, as he watched the World Series and the Chicago Cubs‘ 5-1 lead over the Cleveland Indians, laughing and saying “How does that feel, Cleveland?” with a huge grin on his face.

Walton of course was part of the Golden State Warriors team that was also pushed to a Game 7 last season by the eventual champion Cleveland Cavaliers. That Warriors team was the first NBA team to blow a 3-1 Finals lead, much to the internet's delight. However, is has occurred before in baseball.

As it turns out, the 36-year-old coach might have celebrated a tad too early, as the Indians pulled a late-inning rally in the eighth, powered by the bats of pinch hitter Brandon Guyer and center fielder Rajai Davis, who hit a two-run home run to tie the game 6-6 heading into the ninth.

Ultimately, Walton can smile yet again, as the Cubs pulled through in the 10th inning, thanks to an opposite field RBI double down the third base line by Ben Zobrist and a timely RBI gapper single by Miguel Montero, holding on at the bottom of the 10th for an 8-7 classic for the record books.

The curse is finally over. Congratulations, Chicago, on ending your 108 year drought.
