On Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers announced that they had agreed to a multi-year deal with Luke Walton to have the former Laker and current Warriors assistant coach become the new head coach for the purple and gold.

After accepting such ha big opportunity, you'd expect Walton to be excited. And though he undoubtedly was, he was also quite nervous.

Telling current Warriors coach Steve Kerr about his new Lakers job must have been a little awkward for Walton, who has been a Warriors assistant for two years. Walton was a member of Golden State's coaching staff for their 2015 title run and was acting head coach during this season's record 24-0 start.

It's unlikely Kerr was completely surprised by the news since Walton had been named in numerous coaching vacancy rumors. Kerr will surely miss Walton's assistance in the Bay Area.
