D'Angelo Russell sure had an interesting rookie year with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Not only was he playing in Kobe Bryant‘s final season, but he also butted heads with recently fired head coach Byron Scott and made headlines in a bad way after recording a private conversation about teammate Nick Young cheating on his fiancée Iggy Azalea.

Amidst it all, D-Loading averaged a respectable but not stellar 13.2 points in 28.2 minutes per game, along with 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists. With Luke Walton taking over as head coach and the team seemingly moving in the right direction, they'll need their 2nd overall 2015 draft pick to continue progressing.

To help in that process, Laker legend Magic Johnson is stepping in.

Hopefully for Lakers fans Russell learns a lot from Magic this summer.
