The Orlando Magic may have added the likes of Serge Ibaka, Bismack Biyombo and D.J. Augustin during the offseason to add frontcourt depth and solid playmaking skills off the bench, but one thing they did not expect is the lack of scoring they would get in return.

After giving up Victor Oladipo in exchange for Ibaka, the Magic lost their second leading scorer behind Nikola Vucevic, who is now getting less minutes and producing lower numbers than last season because of a logjam the team has created in their big man rotation. The Magic are now only averaging 93.2 points per game and have struggled to have a player emerge as the go-to-guy in late game situations.

In order to address this problem they have, the team is reportedly looking to make a move in the trade market to add a proven scorer to their fold.

They have many young players who might serve as trade bait: Jodie Meeks, Jeff Green and C.J. Watson are just some of the intriguing talent they have. The only problem is that they are all in the final year of their current contracts. Orlando's top brass needs to think twice about who among their core players they are willing to part ways with to try to get the most in return.

Should the Magic be successful in getting a veteran scorer who can knock down timely baskets for them, it might just be what they need to turn their fortunes around this season and still be able to compete for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
