Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon is extremely excited for the upcoming season. After their late surge last season that saw them make it to the playoffs as a seventh seed, the 23-year-old high-flyer wants the team to continue where they left off.

The expectations for the Magic has been raised, but Gordon isn't pressured. He's confident that Orlando has what it takes to outdo what they accomplished last season, and he believes that having coach Steve Clifford back for another attempt at a deep playoff run was huge, he told NBA.com's John Denton.

“I know everybody on the team is excited to get started and having the same coach (in Steve Clifford) again is going to be huge. Knowing that we have somebody (in Clifford) that we can rely on and trust and buy into his system, that should lead us to another great year.”

Gordon sees this as a good start in terms of building consistency, especially since this is only the second time in his career that he will have the same coach for back-to-back seasons. He believes that the team has completely bought into Clifford's system and when you add that to their players' desire to improve individually and as a team, that's already a great formula for success.

“This is going to be a big season for us, and I think we’re ready for it. We’re solid in so many ways and our consistency is going to give us a big edge.”

The future is starting to look good in Orlando.
