Orlando Magic point guard DJ Augustin will be out for at least 3-4 weeks due to a knee injury. An MRI revealed bone irritation in his left knee. For the season, Augustin is averaging 10.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.

The 12-year NBA veteran has played exceptionally this season. He's been a solid playmaker for the team and has been a key reason why they're seventh in the Eastern Conference. The Magic will most certainly need Augustin if they stage a run during the playoffs. They're hopeful he can return to 100 percent when he returns in a month. After playing in 81 games last season, Augustin will most likely be missing at least 15 games during the next month due to his injury.

With the absence of Augustin, Josh Magette is expected to get more playing time coming off the bench as a backup point guard. In addition, the Magic could lean more heavily on starting point guard Markelle Fultz who's been playing phenomenal this season. Even with the injury to Augustin, the Magic should certainly be in good shape due to the emergence of Fultz this season. He recently helped lead the Magic to beat the top seed of the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Magic are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference with a record of 20-21. At this pace, they will most likely earn themselves a playoff spot for their second consecutive season. They're seeking to extend their win streak to three as they play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.
