The Orlando Magic are among the bottom dwellers in the Eastern Conference with a record of 12-31. There are even talks saying their valuable assets Evan Fournier, Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic are on the move.

You may think that this is the best time for the Magic to pray, but it seems like you just can't get these guys to do so.

Magic rookie Jonathan Isaac is a proud Christian. He invited his teammates to JUMP Ministries Global Church in Orlando because he had volunteered to give a sermon. But not a single teammate showed up.

Isaac said:

“God gave you [himself] this Word for a reason, and you've got to pass it on. Do your fear, right? Do your fear. I've invited my teammates, right? I've invited my teammates and that was the scariest thing I've ever had to do yet. None of them came, right? But I took the step and I invited them.”

There was a round of applause for Isaac after he said those words.

Isaac then took to Twitter to share his experience with his fans.

Isaac was the No. 6 overall pick in last year's draft. He's averaging 5.3 points and 3.7 rebounds for the Magic. Those may not be impressive numbers. But one of the things that makes Isaac impressive is how he mustered the courage to ask his teammates to go to a sermon with him as one of the youngest players on the roster.

Isaac's religious beliefs may help develop his character more. And if there is something a basketball player needs aside from basketball skills, it's character.
