The Orlando Magic will hold Jonathan Isaac out of Wednesday night's regular season finale in Charlotte. According to a report from Josh Robbins of the Athletic, Isaac has been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol program after taking a shot to the jaw in the third quarter of Sunday's victory over the Boston Celtics.

Isaac left Sunday's game after being hit in the face and was unable to return to play. The team is hoping he'll be cleared for action in time for the start of the playoffs. Wes Iwundu will likely see an increase in his usage rate until then.

Isaac has made 75 appearances with the Magic this season (64 starts), racking up averages of 9.6 points on 42.9 percent shooting from the field (32.3 percent from beyond the arc), 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.3 blocks and just under one steal (0.8) in 26.6 minutes per outing.

The Magic (41-40 overall and 7th in the Eastern Conference standings) clinched a playoff berth with their win over the Celtics on Sunday. However, Orlando's seed is yet to be determined. As it stands now, the Pistons are just 1.5 games behind.

Orlando has dealt with several injuries this season, but they've managed to persevere. Player who are currently listed on the team's IR include Mo Bamba (tibia), Markelle Fultz (shoulder) and Timofey Mozgov (knee).

Wednesday night's Magic-Hornets game is scheduled to tip inside the Spectrum Center at 8:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
