Orlando Magic second-year forward Jonathan Isaac suffered a right ankle sprain Friday night at home against the Los Angeles Clippers and was forced to leave the game.

The Magic later announced that Isaac was done for the night. He finished with two points and one rebound in 12 minutes of action.

Jonathan Isaac, 21, entered Friday averaging 7.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.6 assists while shooting 42.9 percent from the field, 27.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.7 percent from the free-throw line. The Magic dropped to 2-6 on the season after a 120-95 loss.

An X-ray after the game revealed no fracture, but it's unclear how much time Isaac will miss.

During his rookie campaign, Isaac posted averages of 5.4 points and 5.7 rebounds in just 27 games. The youngster dealt with a lot of injuries in his rookie season, including ankle issues.

The Magic drafted Isaac with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Florida State University. The 6-foot-10 swingman is a full-time starter this season.

It's early in the season, so there's no point to risk Isaac's long-term health, especially during a season where the Magic are still rebuilding. Orlando is not expected to compete for a playoff spot.
