Most people can only imagine what it must be like to make an NBA debut. The adrenaline is likely flowing 100 miles per hour with different thoughts racing as a childhood dream is about to come true.

Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac was likely experiencing something similar when he made his NBA debut at home against the Miami Heat.

But as CBS Sports’ Chris Barnewell notes, those nerves got the better of the rook, who unfortunately forgot one important thing as he was about to step onto the court for the very first time: his jersey.

“I didn't even put my jersey on. I was on the bench and I completely forgot my jersey. I didn't even put it on,” Isaac said.

As embarrassing as that experience was for Isaac, though, it could’ve been much worse. If he had still taken his warmups off with no jersey underneath, he might’ve stepped onto the court to make his NBA debut topless. It would’ve been a humiliating moment that would follow him for the rest of his career.

Instead, Isaac managed to avoid that scenario, wear his jersey, and have a reasonably fine debut with four points, eight rebounds, and two blocks in 17 minutes off the bench.

Hopefully, for the Magic rookie, he can put the regrettable situation behind him and focus on performing on the court — with a jersey on, of course.
