Since he has only played in 33 NBA games, Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz knows he's “basically still a rookie.”

Fultz vows to work as hard as he can for the Magic. The former No. 1 overall pick also admits he won't be perfect and that it's okay to make mistakes.

“I’m basically still a rookie,” Fultz said, via Josh Robbins of The Athletic. “But at the same time, my mental (approach), my body and my willingness to be coachable is more than enough. So I think that’s going to do its job. I was the No. 1 pick, so I think that says enough (about) that. I don’t really have to talk too much about it.

“But I’m just going to work hard, and I know I’m not going to be perfect. Coach knows I’m not going to be perfect. My teammates know I’m not going to be perfect.”

Due to two serious shoulder injuries, Markelle Fultz's first two years in the NBA were bizarre. He essentially had the yips and forgot how to shoot. The Magic — in a low risk, high reward move — traded for Fultz at the 2019 February trade deadline.

It appears Fultz's shooting woes are in the past now. The Magic posted a video on Wednesday showing Fultz shooting the ball effortlessly. While the release point looked a bit low, it's just good to see Fultz back on the court and shooting again.
