For the second straight preseason game, Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz made a play where fans went, ā€œOh wow, that was nice!ā€

Fultz showed off his handles against the Detroit Pistons with a nice behind the back move. The former No. 1 overall pick took the ball coast to coast and finished with a powerful one-handed dunk.

Markelle Fultz played 21 minutes against the Pistons. He finished with eight points and seven assists while shooting 4-of-10 from the field.

The Magic improved to 2-0 in the preseason with a 115-91 win over the Pistons.

Fultz has fully recovered from Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. The Magic believe he can be an effective two-way player for them this season.

Orlando acquired Fultz from theĀ Philadelphia 76ersĀ at the 2019 February trade deadline. He has career NBA averages ofĀ 7.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 41.4 percent from the field, 26.7 percent from beyond the arc and 53.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Fultz has only played in 33 NBA games due to scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder and Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. The Magic, though, exercised their fourth-year team option on Fultz for the 2020-21 season, indicating the franchise believes in the guard and his long-term outlook.

Fultz worked diligently in recent months under the careful supervision of at least two members of the Magicā€™s player-development staff. His jump shot, while the release point looks low, is more fluid now.
