Recently acquired Orlando Magic guard Markelle Fultz still has no timetable for his return, according to David Baumann of 96.9 The Game.

The former No. 1 pick was traded by the Philadelphia 76ers before the trade deadline, as the Magic took a flier on the much-lauded prospect despite a shoulder injury that has kept him sidelined most of his young career.

Fultz is encouraged about the rehabilitation process after being diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome, but he also described the bizarre nature of the injury and how difficult it is to deal with:

“You know something's wrong and you try to figure it out,” said Fultz. “If you talk to anyone with TOS you know it changes your life dramatically.”

The Washington product feels confident he'll be able to return once he finishes his rehabilitation, though the date is still rather murky:

“Rehab’s going great,” said Fultz, according to John Denton of Magic.com. “We’re doing stuff the right way. I have a great group in LA and the (Magic) staff here is going to be coming out to help me with that. But, right now, everything is going perfectly well.”

“We’re just worried about doing stuff the right way. Right now, it’s just about getting to where we’re all on the same page and we’re all doing the right things.”

The Magic won't rush Fultz back onto the floor, as the purpose of the trade was to allow him to flourish in a situation with much less pressure and more ample opportunity to bloom into the player who once merited the top overall selection.
