28-year-old center Nikola Vucevic, recently re-signed by the Orlando Magic to a four-year, maximum contract, believes he's hitting his prime.

From OrlandoMagic.com writer John Denton:

The way I see the game now, it comes to me easier than ever. I think as a big man, sometimes it takes more years to get to that peak performance and I think I am finally getting there.

Vucevic, a seven-foot center with eight years of NBA service time, has spent the last seven seasons in Orlando honing his exquisite post moves and culminating in the Montenegrin's first All-Star Game appearance in 2019. Vucevic appeared in all but two games for the Magic during the 2018-19 NBA season and led the team to their first postseason berth, a first-round exit in five games to the eventual-champs Toronto Raptors, ending a six-year playoff drought in central Florida.

More from Vucevic via Denton:

Vucevic was drafted with the 16th pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, only playing in one season for Philly before being traded to Orlando in the four-team deal headlined by Dwight Howard moving to the Los Angeles Lakers and Andrew Bynum heading to the Sixers in 2012.

The Magic also re-signed 3-point specialist wing Terrence Ross this offseason and signed unrestricted free agent forward Al-Farouq Aminu in the offseason. Aminu last played for the Portland Trail Blazers, starting in 81 games the past season and competing for the Blazers the last four years.

Vucevic averaged a career-best 20.8 points last season, shooting 51.8 percent from the floor.
