Nikola Vucevic could not hold back the tears. Recently, the All-Star big man was asked to give his thoughts on parting ways with the Orlando Magic following his trade deadline move to the Chicago Bulls. It resulted in an emotional message from Vucevic as he shared how much being part of the Magic organization means to him.

Vucevic literally could not blurt out the words as he needed to take a few seconds to compose himself before stating his answer (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

He even had to drink some water as he clearly struggled to control his emotions:

“To me the hardest part was just the people,” Vucevic said. “For nine years you're gonna meet great people. That was just the hardest for me. … Obviously it meant a lot to me and like I said, I came there as a kid and left as a man.”

Vucevic did not say much and honestly, his answer was pretty generic. However, you can see in the clip just how painful it was for him to leave Orlando. He spent nearly a decade of his career with the Magic and leaving a place he called home for many, many years was not easy for him at all.

It's not everyday that you see a grown man cry about being traded. This simply is not commonplace in the NBA or in the world of sports in general. However, we have to commend Vucevic here for his unapologetic show of emotion. This guy wears his heart on his sleeve and this is one of the reasons why the city of Chicago will love him.
