Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic had nothing but words of praise for Michael Carter-Williams and Khem Birch after their upset win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Per Josh Robbins of the Athletic, Vucevic praised Carter-Williams' defensive presence as well as Birch's competitive spirit.

“MCW, since he's been here, every game he's brought energy, especially on the defensive end, rebounding the ball. … All those little things add up. Khem? Khem always does what he does. He plays hard, competes. He's a great roller, defender and rebounds.”

In their 119-98 victory over the Sixers, Nikola Vucevic dropped 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Michael Carter-Williams — who recently signed a second 10-day contract — recorded 15 points and six rebounds across 19 minutes.

Khem Birch, for his part, finished with 10 points and five rebounds while shooting 6-of-10 from the free-throw line.

The Magic have won five straight games and are currently half a game behind the Miami Heat who have the eighth spot in the East. The two will battle it out on Tuesday. In the final few games, Orlando needs to win as many games as they can and hope that Miami would lose theirs.

Magic fans should expect their team to play at the highest level given what's at stake. Apart from the usual contributors like Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier, expect other players to step up.
