The Orlando Magic have been without the services of veteran big man Nikola Vucevic for the last few weeks due to a fractured left hand that he suffered in late December.
However, it appears that Vucevic is making progress in his recovery as he was going to through individual drills on Saturday afternoon in Boston prior to the team's tilt against the Boston Celtics on Sunday afternoon, according to Josh Robbins of The Orlando Sentinel.

He had originally suffered the injury on the road against the Washington Wizards on Dec. 23 after he got tangled up with big man Ian Mahinmi in the first quarter of that contest. He had undergone surgery shortly after that with a six to eight weeks timetable for the recovery from the injury.
The 27-year-old had been putting up a highly productive season averaging 17.4 points on 49.1 percent shooting from the field and 34.3 percent from beyond the arc while hauling in 9.3 rebounds. Despite missing the last 11 games, he still leads the Magic with 18 double-doubles while reaching double figures in scoring 29 times with 13 games with at least 20 points and three posting more than 30.
This recent workout is a step up from him donning a wrap around his entire wrist a few days ago prior to the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Although there has yet to be any clarity as to when he will return to the court, he is nearly a month removed from when the injury that could put him at least two more weeks away from making his return. Beyond going through individual drills, he will need to show that he can participate in team scrimmages and practice fully.
The fact that he has been able to go through some portions of a practice does certainly bode well to him getting back on the court in the near future.
